about

Transportation

At High Peak Schools, we prioritize the safety, comfort, and convenience of our learners when it comes to transportation. We understand that getting to and from school is a key part of your child's day, and we strive to provide a reliable and secure transport system that aligns with our commitment to your child's well-being.

Our school offers dedicated transport services for learners within and around Naivasha Town. Below are the details of our transportation system:

Routes

We have established a number of routes covering key areas in and around Naivasha to ensure that all learners have access to safe and convenient transport options. These routes include:

  • Naivasha Town Centre, Site, Kabati, Longonot
  • Karagita, Mirera inns, Kayole
  • Lake View Estate, Maai Mahiu, Manera, Kengen, Nyondia, Kinamba

Each bus route is carefully planned to maximize efficiency while ensuring timely arrival to school and return home after school hours.

  • Safety Measures

The safety of our learners is our highest priority. To ensure the well-being of all Learners, we have put in place the following safety measures:

    • Qualified Drivers and Conductors: Our drivers are trained professionals with years of experience, ensuring safe driving at all times. Additionally, each bus is accompanied by a teacher who maintains discipline and assist learners during the journey.
    • Regular Maintenance: All school buses are regularly serviced and inspected to meet high safety standards. Our vehicles are equipped with safety features like seat belts, first-aid kits, and fire extinguishers.
    • Tracking and Communication: Each bus is equipped with GPS tracking systems, allowing school management to monitor the location and speed of the buses in real-time. This helps us ensure routes are followed and delays are minimized.
    • Emergency Procedures: In case of an emergency, our staff is trained in basic first aid, and we have clear evacuation procedures in place. We also ensure that all learners are familiar with emergency protocols.
    • Assigned Seating: For added security, learners are assigned specific seats, reducing unnecessary movement while the bus is in motion.

    Transportation Policies

We aim to maintain a safe, respectful, and organized transportation system. To achieve this, we have outlined the following key policies:

    • Punctuality: We ask that learners arrive at their designated pick-up points on time. Delays can affect the schedule for other learners.
    • Behaviour on the Bus: Learners are expected to exhibit good behaviour while traveling. Disruptive behaviour, including loud talking, bullying, or any unsafe actions, will not be tolerated
    • Parent Communication: We encourage parents to communicate any concerns or special needs regarding transportation directly with our school transport office. If there are any changes to pick-up or drop-off points, we ask for prior notice to ensure smooth coordination.
    • Payment of Fees: Transport fees are structured to be affordable and are due at the beginning of each term. A detailed breakdown of transportation fees will be provided by the school administration.

We are committed to making sure that your child has a safe and comfortable journey to and from school.
