To ensure a smooth admission process, the following requirements must be met:
Age Requirements:
For Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE): The child must be aged 3 to 6 years.
For Lower Primary: The child must be aged 6 years and above (depending on the grade being applied for).
For Upper Primary and Junior Secondary: The child must meet the age requirements according to the specific grade they are seeking admission to.
Academic Requirements:
Previous Academic Records: Applicants are required to provide the most recent academic reports or transcripts from their previous school (if applicable).
Assessment/Placement Tests: Some learners may be required to undergo placement tests to assess their academic level and ensure the appropriate class placement.
Parental/Guardian Information:
Identity documents (such as national ID or passport) of the parent(s) or guardian(s).
Proof of residence (e.g., utility bills, tenancy agreement) to confirm your proximity to the school.
Payment of Fees:
Admission is confirmed once the registration fee and any applicable tuition fees for the term are paid. A breakdown of fees is provided upon request.
Admission Process
Here’s an overview of the steps involved in the admission process:
Assessment (if required):
If applicable, your child may be invited to take an assessment test to determine the appropriate grade placement. This may include a basic academic evaluation in subjects such as Mathematics, English, and Science.
The results of the assessment, along with the application form, will be reviewed to ensure your child is placed in the correct class.
Review of Documents:
Once the application is complete, the school administration will review all submitted documents to ensure they meet the admission requirements.
Interview (if necessary):
In certain cases, an interview with the parents and the child may be scheduled to discuss the child’s educational history and suitability for the school environment.
Offer of Admission:
Upon successful processing of the application, the school will send you a letter of admission confirming your child’s place at High Peak Schools.
You will also receive an orientation package with important school policies, class schedules, and other relevant information to help you prepare for your child’s first day.
School Induction:
Once your child is admitted, they will undergo an induction session to familiarize them with the school environment, staff, and other learners.
During this time, the school will also provide any necessary learning materials (e.g., textbooks, stationery).
